Hello All, I’ve been doing some research on older guitars lately, cause I was curious how they were built. Came across this web site, and thought perhaps others would enjoy it too. Not a whole lot of info. here, but, the short sound clips were very pleasant to listen to. http://www.zavaletas-guitarras.com/files/collection.htm Robert |

Robert! What a great find. Don't know how I missed that page, as much digging around I do for classical git info. The mp3 page is huge. Many clips from current makers as well as historical makers. Short clips, but great comparisons of balance and tonality, crispness and roundness of sound. I'll be spending a good bit more time listening to all those clips. Wish I could see inside all of those guitars. |

The historical text is quite interesting. I might have never known otherwise about Josef Hauser, Hermann's father. |
