The supremely talented and beautiful Jonatha Brooke!

Yesterday evening I had the opportunity to take my oldest daughter Leanna (9) and wife to see one of my all time favorite artists, Jonatha Brooke at the Ark in Ann Arbor.
She was solo, no band and in support of her new Album "Careful what you wish for"
She played for 2 hours and 10 minutes, covered music from most her stuff as far back as "The Story"
It was Leanna's first concert experience and I could not think if a better person for her to see.

If you get a chance, I highly recommend you see Jonatha if you can, she is a unique talent.
Her songs go from lite hearted silly to completely heart wrenching. A masterful songwriter.

Why is she playing that piece of junk Guild? Doesn't she have a custom guitar by one of our OLF builders, who might be one of the forum hosts, who's initials are LK?

she did mention that last night, I was flattered, embarrassed, and proud all at the same time, kind of a weird cocktail of emotions

Actually that Guild Valencia was gorgeous! And her other guitar was an Olson, nuff said.

Great to hear. She is playing the Birchmere here on Thursday. I guess I better check and see if they have tickets left.

Don! Go if you can make it! If you like wonderful acoustic guitar and an anglic voice, you will love Jonatha.
Tell her Lance and Theresa from Mi said hi!

So I checked her website to see tour dates. Yahoo, she's in Madtown on the 17. Bad news is that my wife is out of town. The good news is that I was checking the venue's site and Doc Watson is in town two days later. I alread have my tickets.
