Here's the latest (some times may change, but this is how it looks now):

Friday, May 18: meet at Cat's and Rick's shop, 118 North 35th St,
Fremont, starting at 1 pm.
Afternoon: Demos and discussion of guitar making with Rick. Repair and
set up demo by Cat.
Visit and tour the Dusty Strings harp and hammer dulcimer factory.
Supper at the shop -- tapas and Thai.
Evening builder's workshop with Brent McElroy, Rick, Cat, Michael Gurian,
et al. Constructive critique of your instruments.

Saturday, May 19: Breakfast at nearby restaurant. (Espresso drinks are
always available at the shop.)
Visit Dusty Strings retail store and repair shop. Meet John Saba and David
Haxton, Dusty's ace repair folks (and builders).
Afternoon: Gurian Instruments, see the latest instrument technology (CNC
mills, lasers); bridge pins, bindings and purflings, fret files, and other
parts; check out Michael's stash of woods and parts.
Back to shop for finish workshop by Dave Doucet, formerly of Matt
Umanov's and William Cumpiano's shops.
Evening: Dinner at Thai restaurant next to shop, followed by jam session
and fun.

Sunday: Brunch at Rob Girdis' shop. Rob will host a shop tour and discuss
his building techniques and philosophy.
Wrap-up and cheery farewells at Cat and Rick's shop.

Housing: Nearby, there's not much. There are a zillion motels on Aurora
(Rte. 99) -- a busy road with a combination of nice motels (to the north)
and cheap, sleazy dives (closer to the shop) -- and there are several in
the University district a few miles from the shop (but pricey). The
Everspring Inn on Aurora and 82nd is inexpensive and fairly close; the
Travelodge on Aurora and 85th has slightly more favorable reviews and is
only a little more expensive. There are, of course, many places in
downtown Seattle, not that far from the shop. I'm still working on this ...

Looking forward to seeing you all on the 18th!
