Hi everyone-- No self promotion intended with this post at all. I uploaded two video clips from the Merlefest Guitar Contest to YouTube and wanted to share them with this fine group of people first. Reason being, I used Lance's LS Redwood / Indian Rosewood E2 for the performance. I didn't place this year, but it was a lot of fun and I got many comments (all great) about the tone of the instrument and a lot of questions as to where I got the instrument. Please know the sound quality of the clip doesn't really do the guitar justice-- it sounds infinitely better in person. Amazing Grace Shenandoah |

Thanks for the link John. Your playing was excellent, and the guitar sounds great. It has a lot of punch. Were you playing with nails/flesh/fingerpicks? |

Thank you very much-- the guitar is without a doubt something special. It's very much "alive" as one of my friends put it. It was actually a combination of flatpick, nail, and flesh... completely subconscious... I wish I could explain how it's done, but it really just kinda "happens." |
