This is my build #3 as of Monday night May 7th, I began May 1st.
It is an all Ribboned Mahogany Auditorium. I believe I am going to go with
curly walnut bindings and use some cutoffs from build #2's back & sides
(curly walnut) for the end graft and heel cap.

The back is braced and ready to go!

The top is nearly finished with braces carved. Only the x-braces left and
she'll be ready for assembly.

No blowouts on my rosette this time!

I also was able to get one side bent last night and will attempt to do the
other side this evening.

I'll post more later as the build progresses....thanks for looking...

PS. On a side note I'd like to add that my build #2 has sold!
I went to an open mic on April 29th and had folks lined up to play it
afterwards. After exchanging numbers with a fella who was glowing about
#2's looks and sound, it sold the following day.
It was my first sale ever and though it was kinda' hard to see her go, the
sale enables me to build at least two more.

Congratulations on #2 and progress on #3 - it looks great!  Can't wait to see more as it progresses.

Looking great Chris.
And, congrats on the sale: pretty heady stuff, isn't it?

Steve

Chris,

I've been wondering what you've been up to, and it's pretty impressive. It looks like this one is going together much more smoothly than #2, with its "sophomore slump" aggravation. It seems the extra work with that one has payed off, though. Congratulations!
