The only thing I don't like about limba is that the stuff really stinks when you cut it. I was resawing some backs/sides from it recently and it was less than pleasant smelling in the shop when I was done. If only everything could smell like BRW...or padouk...or amboyna...

And, FWIW, if you're doing a limba top (which I wouldn't, but I have no specific reason besides the standard stiffness/weight rations), then you've got to make the whole thing from limba. My next acoustic is going to be a limba B/S/Neck (unless the padouk I have sawn up entices me all of a sudden).

I have a large plank of Black Limba with nice curl in it and I have been thinking of doing the same thing, mostly because it would look so great. Let us know how it sounds if you do build one.
