Which goes with which? Opinions please!

I've got two guitars in the works. Both will be 12 fret 000's. One is some EIR from that group buy we all did, the other is sapele mahogany. I've also got two tops, one is adi from Steve at Colonial (remember he had that sale a few years back), the other top was sold to me as European spruce.

Now I was going to put the adi top on the mahogany guitar and the euro on the EIR guitar, but last night I got to thinking (always a danger ). Maybe the adi would be better on the EIR, and the euro on the mahogany. They'll both be used for fingerstyle blues.

Which way would you go and for what reasons?

Thanks Hesh, that's pretty much what I was thinking, but Colin is always going on about mahogany/euro being his first choice. So I figured I'd ask you guys.

Paul,

Either/any combination will be great. The largest part of the shape of the sound will come from the guitar's design and bracing. For a really "interesting" fingerstyle blues guitar a small bodied Euro/sapele ladder braced guitar would be great - now where Ihave i seen one of those ?

Oh yes, if it was me, without hesitation, I'd put the Euro top on the Sapele. But then again I'd probably put a Euro top on the EIR as well .

With the Euro on the Sapele you've got a great blues guitar, and with the Adi on the EIR you've got a classic OOO-28, well nearly.

Easy isn't it.
