Chris is definitely lucky to have someone like you guiding him through the buildig process Todd!
I wish I had that sort of guidance....
They are sure good looking axes so far,, no doubt!
Also Todd remember I feel like I owe you one,
so if you find something at the swapmeet you'd like let me know - Id be happy to repay your kindness for the sander with a small purchase or 2.
That sander incidentally, is like only one of the most handy little tools in my shop now

I hadn't noticed the cutaway design.  I like that too.  It gets you what you need, from a player's standpoint, without killing the builder.  It also gives more of a traditional look than some deep cutaways I have seen.

I didn't think of that.  Yeah, it looks like you don't loose much volume at all, but still get the advantage of the cutaway.  That should enhance the projection significantly, or at least not muffle it.
