Very fine tutorial. I like the use of the small tablesaw blades also, whenever possible- keeping those tip speeds *down*! For myself, I'd remove the waste with a little ripsaw, because I detest the dust- requires hand support for the cut, though. YMMV.. |

Nice technique. Much better than mine. I use a hand plane to get it close and finish with my sanding radius dish |

Nice Todd! Good pictures for showing the process. It does, however, require "Attitude" and "Conviction" that you are comfortable with the tool. |

Thanks, Todd! I cringe whenever I have to put my whole hand on that side of the fence, but I like your method. Fast and accurate. Maybe I need to cobble up a jig. ![]() |

Looks good with one exception. I'd be a little concerned about the "rocker" factor that the body will want to make as passing through the saw. The back of the blade is trying to pull up the guitar and the front is trying to slam it down. Since this is not a flat piece of stock going through it's a pretty unstable cut. If I were you, I'm make a cradle teh the rib will sit in as it passes through. I'm a safety fanatic on the table saw and this is a cut I'd think twice about making. |
