I have a set of HRW that I bought from Hibdon Hardwoods about three years ago. Boy is this stuff hard and stiff.

My feeling is that I could probably go a lot thiner with this wood than say ERW.I'm thinking .075-.085 on the sides and around .090-.1 for the back.

Those of you who have worked with it, what has been your experience?

TIA,
Cecil

Thanks Hesh, thats about what I had in mind. I just wanted to check.

I am really looking forward to using this wood. The tap tone is fantastic. Visually it is a little pedestrian but I'm looking foward to a great sounding guitar(provided the luthier does'nt scerew it up)
