Well I am going out of town on a business trip and I was wondering if any of you folks are in the Washington DC area. I will be there with nothing to do next weekend and just figured I could use a locals perspective for things to do and sites to see.
Thanks all!!!
Christian

Christian, if you will be in town on Friday night Tommy Emmanuel is playing the Birchmere in Alexandria, VA. It is really close (5 minutes from Reagan Airport) and will be a good concert. Here is a link. There is so much to see in DC that I don't even know where to start.

That's not a bad idea... thanks for the tip. I know there is tons to see, but my wife is a history buff and would kill me if I did any of the major sites without her.

So something like this is right up my alley! Thanks again Don!!!

Holocaust Museum, slightly depressing
US Bureau of Engraving, see a million bucks in one pile.....

Best food is in the downstairs cafeteria of the Longworth Building, use the Metro

Train station is neat.

Do ride the Metro and you'll get around better than driving. Park your rental or personal car and ride....

Lincoln, Jefferson, Washington Monuments.....
