Does anyone know how to compensate for a uke? I was told to add 1mm to the end of scale. But my question is how do you locate the bridge. The saddle slot is already cut. I add 12 fret x 2 to get to the saddle slot, but is it to the front or middle of the saddle slot? TIA for your help! Tracy |

According to my instructions from Hanalima for my tenor uke the measurement is taken at the center of the saddle at the center of the bridge. ![]() |

Thanks Ricardo! Does your bridge have a slanted saddle slot, or a straight saddle slot? I think that is correct going to the middle of the saddle slot, and that is what I will do unless someone tells me differently. Tracy |

Not that it matters - I believe all Hanalima plans show slanted saddles. |

I'm building a Martin 5K concert sized Uke. It is not slanted by the way. But I'm sure that is still accurate. I thought most Tenor sized were straight saddle slots unless you were using wound strings. But I'm no expert of course. Tracy |
