Does anyone know how to compensate for a uke? I was told to add 1mm to the end of scale. But my question is how do you locate the bridge. The saddle slot is already cut. I add 12 fret x 2 to get to the saddle slot, but is it to the front or middle of the saddle slot? TIA for your help!

According to my instructions from Hanalima for my tenor uke the measurement is taken at the center of the saddle at the center of the bridge.

Thanks Ricardo! Does your bridge have a slanted saddle slot, or a straight saddle slot? I think that is correct going to the middle of the saddle slot, and that is what I will do unless someone tells me differently.

Its slanted.  what size uke are you building?  Not that it matters - I believe all Hanalima plans show slanted saddles.

I'm building a Martin 5K concert sized Uke. It is not slanted by the way. But I'm sure that is still accurate. I thought most Tenor sized were straight saddle slots unless you were using wound strings. But I'm no expert of course.
