Yessir! Great looking Lutz there my friend...

So what color is it going to be this time??? I'm still hoping to see a 'Kind of Blue' guitar emerge from the Heshtone Stable!!

Hesh I really hope your joking about leaving, I realize that sometimes being with the same group of guys day in day out tensions can arise, and do... but really, this place is really amazing, and your one of the parts of this place that makes it so amazing.
You and the choice others here {and who have been here in the past} have really picked me up and kept me going.... whenever it seemed like I was working and working and never getting anywhere, which is alot.
Think back to what we spoke about in priate a while ago, and meditate on what you spoke to me,..
I think youll remember what makes this place so special..... you Hesh, and all the other like you.
I have just recieved a top from Rod True of Shanes, Rod threw it in as a GIFT with a set of bubinga we split costs on,
all I can say is wow!
In my limited experience its by far the nicest top Ive ever seen!!! Shane you make good cookies!
Cheers

I echo Charlie's sentiments exactly. I know most of you only through this forum, but this has become an important place for me, mostly because people really seem to care about each other and about this instrument. Whatever is going on just hang in. Cheers+

Hesh, you know how I feel about you personally, So I wont go there, suffice to say, your a close and personal friend.
That said, the OLF was not "taken down last night, or today for that matter. We have had three outages at the server station. Art is on it, but its out of my control.
I could not shut down the forums DB like that if I wanted to.

How's come? The wood is good, the chisel is sharp, the RH is 45% AND the Alien abides. If a gentleman who is surrounded by such bounty were to continue posting on this forum, balance would be maintained!

Hesh, in case you were slammed by critical PMs recently, I'd like to remind members that that is not the way to handle a disagreement. If you can't respond publicly to a post, and stay within the rules of conduct, perhaps you should keep your feelings to yourself until you can express them in a civil manner.

Hesh,

You have obviously enjoyed sharing your luthiery talents here, there is most definitely more good than bad, so why not allow yourself to find what is good here and have fun with it....don't let those things that are truly trivial and unimportant in the grand scheme of things take you away from a really neat place with some genuinely great folks!

Cheers,
Greg

Hey Hesh

Cool zoot mate, yep cool as cucumbers

Shane sent me a package a while back, the packing wood he used to protect the booty was a nice curly lutz set with a sappy pitch pocket running right down the centre of each plate. I simply ripped that fault out with my tablesaw, jointed them back together and wound up with a nice 4 piece lutz top that is very hard to distinguish from the norm.

Sometimes I guess we just need to cut those little bad bits away from all the good stuff to end up with lemonade from the lemons buddy

Cheers

Kim

I got my tops from Shane too.  Yep, can't do much better than that.  clean, straight, close grain and clear wood.  My packing materials included another useable top too.  Unbelievable!  Also, that brace wood, which I also got, and I see you did too, Hesh, is some fine stuff too.

Please don't go.   We need you!

BTW - What is that dark wood in the center of that picture?

It's Cedar I think Steve.

Hesh, you know where I stand. I really like what Billy had to say. And having his picture would certainly be fun.

The backroom BS here just isn't worth leaving over.

Isn't Shane's Lutz just wonderful? I wish we had a better camera. I couldn't get any decent pictures of the tops he sent me to tease, ah, share with everyone. And I agree, even the pieces he sends along as protection will made a good top.

As for this being your possibly last post, I hope its because you want to, not need to, move on. What ever is going on in your life, I hope that it is good and what you want.

Thank you for all your tutorials and posts in general. I learned much from your insight, clear voice and presentation. I have copied all of your tutorials and tucked them away for the time when I will need to use them. And I know I will need them. Thank you again Hesh. You are a fine luthier and a gentleman in my book. I consider myself privileged to have spent time in your company. Thank you again for all you have contributed.

Hesh--

It's beatiful wood from a great sponsor. I also want to say that I'd really like you to stick around. You have a great passion for building and an incredible knack for being able to put together tutorials.

Hesh, I don't post here very often as my first build is on hold while i spend my life mowing the lawn but... You should know that your comments and work are an inspiration to those of us just starting out. As for the rest of them, you can't tell them nuthin.

Seriously, take a break. Just keep an eye on us because you'll know when i am about to do something stupid and these other guys can't help me.

Hesh, I have one thing to say, Forgive like the Amish.

Oh, and if you leave, tell me where you are going!

And one more thing thing, you are the OLF, you can't leave.

Do I have to take a road trip, this time just to kick your butt?

Whenever there's a fight, I'm always for the underdog!

Stay, I say, if your ground is of any value...... fight for it.

It takes a big man to stay, but a bigger man to come back. Take a break if you need to, but PM everyday.

No matter what you decide, you'll always have some good friends in Luthierworld.

I'm having a glass of red wine in your honor buddy, cheers!

I don't have any in Brazilian, but I do have one ebony John sent me with a bunch of Swap Meet Stuff. It's impeccable too!

Not to slight brother Shane off in the woods of BC, that's some purty stuff, oh yeah.

Hesh, when I finally meet you face to face, get ready cause I'm gonna give you a thrashing. Thirty lashes with a wet noodle.

Here is some wood John sent me, not bad either:

Here is a brazilian fingerboard he sent:

And a Martin style brazilian Bridge, Mario would be proud!
