Just for my curiosity sake;

How many of you have built OMs off my plans and how many?

How many have built SJs off my plans and how many?

I have built 13 OMs since I first developed my plans but that was three years before they were available on the forum

I have built 11 SJ non-cutaways and 5 cutaways.

It seems to me reading posts the SJ has been a very successful design with you guys. Hope you have enjoyed it and the OM.

Michael.
Your plans are the best available. Incredible detail

I am on my 2nd SJ off your plans....sort of.
Both are OLF SJ's and Both were modified for 12 strings.
Bracing locations were slightly altered.

Michael,
I built one SJ from your plans. I thought your plans and the guitar were great and the guitar is well loved by the owner.

My OM plans were purchased before I new about you and the OLF. I have redesigned the bracing of my guitars after I took the Somogyi course. About the only thing I use from these plans is the outside profile.

2 OLF SJ's. Michael, your plan is a real winner. Many thanks!

Michael, your plans are great. I have three under construction from your plans --- two OMs and 1 SJ.

You may not get an accurate count in this thread --- the title of the thread is a little vague, and some who don't read every thread on the OLF might not realize their input is being requested.

2 SJ's.

Most detailed plans on the market. Thanks for your support and unselfish help.

I'm always impressed when you and others do this out of your love of the craft and willingness to give back.

Thanks, Michael.

One SJ on the workbench right now, probably less than half finished. One OM right after that.

I just bent the sides for my first SJ today.  I have to agree, the plans are incredible.  Very detailed and definately the best plans I have seen.  Well done!

I haven't built from either set of plans yet but I do have the OM and SJ plans and they are both very nice plans. As soon as I get over my lazy streak I'll probably build an OM first, then an SJ.

Good stuff Michael! Thanks.

Hello Michael,

I am currently building an SJ based on your plan - wonderful! It's my second guitar, my first is based on an OM shape (not of your plan - pre OLF) and isn't finished yet. Once I saw your SJ plan, I wanted one like RIGHT NOW! and put the OM on hold.

I'm pleased to say that they're both almost at the finishing stage.

Thanks for a great plan Michael; really looking forward to the next.

Regards,

Pete

Well That is 18 SJ's completed, on the bench or in the schedule and 10 OM's complete, on the bench or in the schedule so far. This is great and I know this is not even close to the number of plans sold. So I will bump this for a day or two more.

First I want to say my intent was to get an idea of how prolifically the plans were being used. The truth is best spoke by repetitiveness of use.

It was not my intent to induce praise. Your comments are very nice and I sincerely thank you, but I do not deserve all the accolades. You are the ones that turn this simple stack of paper and ink into beautiful musical instruments. You are the ones that deserve the acclaim

Also I want to again invite others here to share their plans. "Variety is spice of life babe." so belly up and submit some

I'm working on my first guitar. I'm using an LMI kit and the OLF OM plans.
