I hope you all are able to enjoy a great day with your families. I think about my Dad a often and miss him alot. I can only hope that I have some of the impact on my kids that he did on me. Kevin, Happy Fathers Day to you too! I’ll be enjoying a fine day with my boys, and my lovely wife. BTW, What I know about you from reading your posts, is you’re a very conscientious person, and there is no doubt in my mind that your children think very highly of you. So, be happy! Life is good!

I'm right with you, Kevin. I lost my father three years ago and, to me, there wasn't a better man to be found. Tell your dad you love him, often. There is nothing on this earth more important than family. Ron |

Fathers day is special to me, because as a daughter, I did not see my father for 20 years due to an acrimonious divorce; and my mother prevented us from seeing him. For 20 years I grew up and got on with my life without my wonderful dad being around. Well, thanks to an old email address I left on Friends Reunited (one that I NEVER check...but when I did one day, his email was TWO days old!), my father contacted me three years ago...and has visted us numerous times. Needless to say, he a a fantastic bloke whom I love dearly, my husband gets on really well with him...and I have just got back from a wonderful weekend visit. Hah, it was kinda mindblowing for him when he found out he was a grandfather of three kids!!!

Sam, That was a wonderful story of your reunion with your father. I was moved, and, though I don’t know you personally, it made me feel so good to know, that you felt so good about your renewed relationship with your father. I have had a similar experience, but, not quite as satisfying. Be that as it may, I have a stepfather that is every bit of what a father should be, and I consider myself to be very fortunate for it to have worked out that way! With that, I’ll be giving him a call later on, and let him know how much I care! Thanks again Sam for sharing that with us! Robert |

Wow, what a great story Sam, made me happy in side to read that truly it did.
