After what seems like months, Steve at Colonial Tonewoods has finally completed his move to his newer and much bigger shop, as well as a brand spanking new web site!! Colonial Tonewoods

I was up there last thursday sorting through some Rio (Madagascar R/W), and took some pictures....

All I can say is that no where that I have been has that much quality tonewood in one place.....going there always gives me cause to check my standards and strive for nothing but the best.......NICE GOIN STEVE....YOU ARE THE MAN!!!

Bad news....he's gonna bust through that building and be forced to expand in the next couple of years. From the stuff I've seen, he sells some great woods.

Hey Bruce,
I do think that he has the ceramic guides on his Laguna.....Steve if you see this can you confirm?

I bought mine before the blue holder setup with ceramic guides. He probably has the Baldor motor too. One thing about Laguna, if they see a problem they go after it.

Yep, I use the ceramic guides and love them. It takes some getting used to if you're new to them but I really enjoy how they work. The bandsaw that I'm using is the Laguna LT-18 and it's a great saw however I really need something larger. I have my eyes set on the 24" Laguna resaw bandsaw and I've been slowly saving my pennies.

I must apologize for the awful mess in the middle of the shop. I was cleaning out one of my storage units and had to get the wood ready for processing.

Lastly, I have my new site up and what a bear that was. Between moving my family and shop and redoing my website, I've been very busy. I think things will calm down and I can get back in the saddle.
To celebrate my new site, I'm having a HUGE sale on the following: Carpathian, Sitka, bearclaw Sitka, Caucasian, and Red spruce soundboards. Backs and sides: figured(quilted)Honduras mahogany sets, 50 year old straight grained African mahogany sets, koa guitar sets,40 year old Sapele sets, Pommelle Sapele sets, Honduras rosewood guitar sets, Brazilian rosewood guitar sets, and a few others. Fingerboards: 2nd old growth Brazilian rosewood fingerboards, slotted (25.4) AA ebony fingerboards, and Macassar ebony fingerboards.
There are a few others that slip my mind but I wanted to let everyone in the forum know before I post anything on my site. In addition to the special pricing, all OLF members receive an extra 10% off.
My way of saying thank you for everyone's support.
Heck, I might even offer financing, E-1 and up
Thanks again and God bless.

Steve, your reasoning for moving from an 18 to 24 inch saw?
