The band I play in had a couple of gigs at the National Celtic Festival a few weeks back and the engineer was kind enough to record a desk tape. It's warts and all stuff, as most desk tapes are, but I thought I'd chuck a couple of songs on here for your musical edification . It's Irish stuff, not trad Irish, so I hope you enjoy it. Great stuff Bob, that's what we need more music! It's been saved to my PC. As we're in a Celtic mood here's my take on the old Irish harp tune The Fair Haired boy. Fair Haired Boy Now, I know Dave has some nice Celtic stuff let's have our own festival here. Colin |

Great rendition Colin. I think we also do that tune but it's hardly recognisable given the raucous manner in which we deliver it. This is a version of Luka Bloom,s Couldn't Have Come at a Better Time with the Kesh Jig and (I think) The Fair Haired Boy tacked on the end. Cheers |

Guys, those are really great. Colin, I liked your version of Fair Haired Boy. Just to contribute to the Celtic Confusion, here's a rendition of O'Carolan's, "Shebeg & Shemore" written for 4 guitars, and our version of Variations on "Scarborough Faire" that we do at the Renfest here in Charlotte. If you want pics, and other clips, you can go to http://rosewoodguild.com. The group has changed some, since the cover pic was taken. Shebeh & Shemore Scarborough Faire |

Dave, that's really nice. Good rendition. I really like O'Carolan's works. Great music. I have been trying to get our arrainger, Mary Ann, to do a version of "Carolan's Concerto" for four guitars and whistle. |

See now we got us a festival! OK here's the classic Kildare. County Kildare And as we are on a Turlough O'Carolan kick, here's his classic Planxty Irwin. One of my mtes is on the baritone in the background. Planxty Irwin Colin |
