After reading Hesh's post about the nitro, I'm thinking about trying the satin nitro. Anyone have any experience with this stuff? Any advice other than the normal nitro safety precautions?

This is not that bad . I have used it for small touch up and repair. It builds very slow but the nice thing about satin is that it is so much more forgiving than gloss

I would recommend that you really pay close attention to a standard
practice for any spray finisher when using the Stew Mac nitro in a can.

When you spray coats, be sure to alternate your travel direction across
the surface being sprayed. Spray one coat while moving the can in long
straight lines along the grain and the next with long straight strokes
perpendicular to it.

Also, consider that with the high volume of propellent in the cans, very
little lacquer makes it to the surface being sprayed so it does build
extermely slowly. The thickness achieved by spraying nitro with a pro gun
for three coats may take as many as ten coats with the spray can stuff.

Spray the coats with as little time between them as possible to allow for
the most melting into one another.

I've had very good results with their gloss nitro directly over Zpoxy on three guitars, but adhesion problems when using their sanding sealer over Zpoxy on two guitars. When dented with a fingernail the finish would turn white. Light scraping would cause the finish to flake off in sheets like polyurethane. After asking, I found out that others here have had similar problems with sanding sealers in general.
