Forms needed to return to the U.S.

Hello all traveling to Montreal .
I just talked to a border officer and he told me we need CBP form 4457 or 4455 filled out and sighned before we go into Canada.
These forms need Model & serial#s for guitars and any electronic
devises we will travel with.
The purpose is so we can get these items back into the U.S.
These forms are available at www.customs.treas.gov/
He said you could be held up along time without them in light of the terrorist bombings in great Britain lately.

We're going to BC from Washington state in a few weeks with a guitar or two, so thanks for the heads up.

Yeah those guitars are dangerous. I had to fill them out for my Peru trip too, though I didn't need to give the model or serial.
