![]() I'm regluing some plastic binding on this Guild dred for a friend. I will probably use either Duco or LMI's binding cement. Is there any problem with cleanup or the glue bleeding into the wood? He also lost his plastic heel cap so I will fix that too. Thanks, Kirt |

I use Weldon #16 but Duco should work too. Work neat, maybe use masking tape to avoid getting glue where you don't want it and be quick about clean up. |

![]() Hesh, I Tried to call the guy tonight to ask him how old it is but he's not home. I googled it and it appears they started making them in 1991. It's a "D4HR" HR meaning hand rubbed finish. Todd, Yes, I was looking at the LMI FCA glue or the FGW glue. Thanks, Kirt |

Thanks so much John, Hesh & Todd I'm placing an order to LMI for a bunch of other stuff so, I will add in the FCA to the order. The weldon looks like it would be perfect for the job too, but I'm going the LMI route this time. ![]() Kirt |

just FYI, and it's probably not the best choice in this situation since you have finish to contend with, buuuut. You can actually use titebond, but you just have to wipe the inside (gluing edge) of the binding with a little acetone witch softens the binding, and makes gluing with a PVA possible and actually it holds very well. That's what we did at Bourgeois. |
