I am trying to install a neck pickup into a '98 Gibson LP Special with P-90s. The pickups are secured into the body of the guitar with brass threads that are snug in the body. Unfortunately, they brass nuts will not stay in the body, they get pulled out when I screw into them. My question is, what type of adhesive should I use to secure these nuts into the body |

I am by no means an expert at this type of thing, but I think you are discribing a threaded brass insert. If it were me, I would use plain old 5 minute epoxy to secure them. |

Another thing to double-check is the length of your machine screws. If they are too long they can bottom in the hole and force the threaded insert out. Cheers John |
