Just got the PBS email reminder, now Bob! I'll probably miss it now!

Most amazing. He could make anything work.  Way too cool for words.

Fantastic show!!! I didn't realize what a technical genius he was. I never knew he pioneered multi-track recording. What an amazing guy.

I was fortunate enough to watch the show twice last night. Never realized his accomplishments and genius!

I was so impressed at how sharp both mentally and physically he seems to be. My brother saw him at the Iridium in NYC and was amazed at his energy level...he really feeds off of the audience...a true performer!

It was nice to also see tributes from more contemporary guitar virtuosos like Tommy Emmanuel and others. He certainly has carved himself a place in music history. I just saw an incredible amount of respect heaped upon him...and deservedly so. It was great to see him recognized so while he's still alive.

I'm going to establish a Pandora station today for Les & Mary and rediscover their music!

I saw parts of it but didn't record it. Hope they run it again soon.

What a great show! I don't watch PBS much, too many dem upighty words! Matter a fact, TV is a little too sophistimocated for me! This was a real treasure!

I didn't realise Django and him were such bud's. I was pretty impressed to see Django's guitar in Les' hands.

"You can't take it with you.....So I want that guitar, those shoes and a couple of those pedals". Les was laughing so much, he had to remove the tear from his eye with the special finger!

Dave, I think it is scheduled again on the 18th.  At least it is here in Charlotte.  You can go to PBS site (see the Zootman's entry at the top) and find it on the schedule for your area.

I have been a huge fan of Les for many many years - I saw him perform when I was a teen and it was mindblowing to me... I did some research on him and learned about what an amazing genius he was, both as a player and an inventor
(not to mention someone who could pick hits infallably[-2sp?])
Anyway he has been on my "most admired" list ever since - Just a humble prince of a man too! I love the way he puts everyone around him at ease - just .... well in a word "special" guy
Cheers
