Lookin' good Peter... I like the wide/irregular grain spacing on the Englemann. To my eye, that's how wood should look. Oddly enough, if you had chosen a top with tight/even grain, I don't think it would have complimented the limba as well aesthetically. I know, Don is nuts. |

Lovely looking instrument Peter. What do you look for when matching up the Paua? Colour or grain in the shell? I usually try for a bit of both, which ends up nigh on impossible unless you've got a huge stash of shell. Cheers |

Wow, I like it. Limba can be kinda boring looking, this ain't at all. I like the combination of the woods and the paua inlays - it all works together nicely. |

Beautiful Peter! Can I ask, how wide is the paua, and what are the adjacent lines? |

Thanks guys! The Paua is .063" bordered by wood (B/W) purflings. |

Thanks Peter - it looks like so much "more". (It's astonishing to me how such a narrow band of paua can have such a dramatic effect........is why I asked). I guess, even though .063 "sounds" so narrow, it would be real easy to overdo it! |

Peter you have really ascended into the upper echelon of builders. The last few guitars you've shown us are at a different level, honestly. Congrats on another work of art. |

I am actually going to an ever narrower shell. Thanks guys for all the complimets. ![]() |

My goodness Peter. Bling on the Back! From one bling affectionado to another, well done. Don't let those understated Limeies from across the pond inhibit you from splashing bling all over your guitar. (sorry Colin, White, et. al. just had to say that :0)) Next step is pearl under the binding D-45 style. I'm inspired. I think we should have a bling contest I like this guitar. It looks good. |

Gee, Peter, one of these days, you are going to have to put your head down and build some guitars. You can barely get them out one a week. ![]() That's a beautiful box. I'm sure you will let us see more when done. I can't wait. |
