Ever seen this before? Any ideas on how it's constructed?

Could be a "twisted" CNC program.

Charles Fox does this on his Ergo line of acoustic guitars.  It's not as difficult as it looks like it should be.

Because he can.

Actually it is done to compensate for the natural tendency of the hand to rotate as the arm is extended.

Jerome owns the patent on bass necks, he use to do work for me. He also worked for Parker and now does the mando's at collings guitars! Jerome is also really smart the necks were hand shaped!!

Lance,
I checked and my hand doesn't naturally rotate when extending my arm. Does Yours? I think Al is pulling my leg, er arm? bd

Bruce: try maximal flexion and supination (ie, barre chord position) at a 'first fret' and at a 'twentieth fret' position; there's definite rotation there.

Al, I've never known you to lie.

So, if I have a guitar neck that twists to the right I can leave it that way. And... charge more for it.

Now what if I have one that twists to the left? I'll have to send that one to Todd for a redo.

I'll admit one thing, it's cool as heck. And... I notice the double truss rods, that is definitely different.

I hope it catches on and the guy has a bonafide patent that the courts will honor.

Mattia, what did you say? It went right over my little head.
