He also has a book just out, on building kit guitars from various sources, including our very own John Hall! |

I agree...that article was excellent! This may already known, but his kit builders' site is one of the best resources out there (or it might even be the only one out there) for those considering a kit: http://web.mac.com/magads/iWeb/Site/Home.html |

Kathy, It's always a pleasure to see you post here, rare though it is. I perused your site for months before I built my first. Bill's site is a good resource indeed, would have been great for me, right up there with yours. |

Thanks! You're right...I do very rarely post...I do lurk pretty regularly, though. There is so much great information here, and I tend to feel pretty humbled by all that everyone here knows! (Maybe that's why I don't post much.) |

Kathy please don't be a strainger. Many of the people here have spent 10's or 100's of hours at your site just lurking. You have been an inspiration to many common folk who thought they couldn't build a guitar. Don't you know that you are probably one of the most famous hobby builders out there Your site is an inspiration to anyone who is even thinking about building a guitar. You have lots to offer here, don't be shy. And please feel free to post any of your creations. We may not be able to hear them but we do like to see nice looking guitars. If you can post a sound clip even better. |

Oh and Hesh, I'd love to see that article and anything else in the AG magazine but I still don't have any of mine yet. |

Kathy and her website and personal help was one of my earliest inspirations for guitar making. "If an English teacher can build a guitar, so can I" Just kidding, our eldest daughter is an English teacher. Nelson P.S. Sorry for the bad grammar. |

Hi Kathy, I also spent many hours on your site when I was building my first. Several of my jigs are direct copies of yours. |

Glad you brought this up Hesh! I just read the article last night, and it was very well done. I'll be seeing Bill this Sat. at our CO Luthiers Get together, and will personally congratulate him on a fine job and article. I also just found out that my 2nd guitar is pictured on the back cover of his book Hope to get a glimpse of the book this weekend if he brings a copy. Oh yea, and Kathy, always great to see you peak in, you really are in inspiration to all hobby builders out there! Tracy |

Bill Cory's site is a great resource for kit builders and I have to second the tip o' the hat to John Hall as he has provided a great deal of support to everyone on the site. I would have been sunk more times than I'd like to count without the ability to ask some seriously, well...beginner questions. Just can't imagine what it would have been like 30 years ago to decide to want to get into building. Without the online resources, I'm thinking that it would have required more dedication than most of us have to spend. |
