Well were up over 50 tutorials on the page now and that's including Ron Wisdom's thread on how to get rid of Armadillo's.

If there are any new (or archived) threads that need to get added could you let me know via PM so I don't miss any.

Bob, if you are interested, I did a little tutorial on how I do sound ports. I'm too lazy to find it but I'm sure it's in the archives somewhere. If you aren't no problem.

Oh yeah, I also did a tutorial on bridge making using John Hows jig.

Its in there some where, IIRC its a two part thing.

Bob, I was just sitting here thinking, all your "links" are going to need to be changed once we update to the new software.
Im sure the "thread" name and number will stay the same, but the url leading up to that will be different.

No problems.

I edit the the HTML page in the Linux version of notepad
so it's very easy to do a 'replace' on the URL.

It should take about 30 seconds

If you don't know about the tutorial page, how do you get there from the OLF pages? I tried to find a link to it and failed. It might be buried in the on-line resources pages but I couldn't find it.

The tutorial page is a nice resource but you have to know about it to get there.

Go to the page - above link - block and save the address to your desktop or your favorites folder in your browser, or in my case, your Guitar Tutorial folder in your browser.  Problem solved.

P.S.  I think the point was that when the new site is up, there will be a link on that site at the top.  Another option would be to put a link on the "Online Resources" page, or the "Tools and Techniques" page.

I made a bookmark as soon as I realized that the page was not an integrated part of the OLF. That was not the point of my post. I heard about the tutorial page but could never find it before because I thought it was a part of the OLF and there was no link. The tutorial seems to have been around for awhile but I missed the post that told where to go to get it. I don't think adding a link to the on-line resources page should wait for the new software because there are several posts that refer to the tutorial page and assume that you know how to get there.

Adding to my confusion was the fact that there is a jig tools and techniques page that hasn't been updated in a long time. There were posts about adding things to the tutorial page and then I'd go to the jig tools and techniques pages and they wouldn't be there.

Bob is performing a valuable service by maintaining the tutorial and I hope that tutorial will be integrated into the forum when the new software comes up.

I think that the intention is to include a link on the new forum but both Brock and Lance are flat out getting ready for Healdsburg and putting a link on top of this page where the Tools,Tips and Techniques is, is not exactly an easy task if you have a look at the coding involved.

Until the new forum software comes along I'll post a thread periodically as this post disappears into the archives so that people can find it. Or maybe Lance or Brock can put a locked, sticky thread in.

Yeah, that is right. We are testing the new software now and working out the obvious kinks. We don't really plan to update this software any more than we have to until the new version launches, and then we will incorporate these new items.

Plus, somewhere along the way we have managed to lose the layered file of our top nav and that makes adding new nav items a bit cumbersome.

But we absolutely appreciate this effort and we will make sure it makes its way into the new launch.
