Just finished it today! I had shown pics here from the box before but now here is the full thing! Specs: Auditorium Curly Koa Back and Sides Curly Redwood/Lutz Semi Double Top 7 piece Neck Brazilian Rosewood Bindings Paua Abalone Soundboard Purflings Paua Abalone Back Center Seam Hisbiscus Inlaid Fretboard and Headstock (Bill Nichols)

Very nice Peter! I think you've built a few guitars with redwood as the top wood now haven't you? Any generalizations about it's characteristics as a top wood? |

They are all pretty balanced so far. Good punch and volume too. |

Beautiful instrument. I assume the top is redwood/nomex/lutz? Did you brace it any differently than you would a solid top? |

It's ok... a little bland though. Couldn't you have used wood with more figure or something to give it a little zing? Try harder next time. You can do it. Fantastic ! ! ! Nice job, as always... Highlight the open space for my real thoughts... |

Hey Peter, You are getting to be a excellant guitar maker. That's one of the nicest redwood tops I've seen. The koa aint to shabby either. Great Job !

Ha! This set of Koa is killer. Seems nicer than that set of blackwood to me. Great job my friend. This guitar is (as I said in my last post) fantastic. |
