Hi all! Does any body know what to use to remove the l glue left behind after removing a pick gaurd?
I'm trying not to destroy my lac. top. I had a brain fart while installing it(hate it when that happens) Thanks

You didn't say what kind of guitar, what kind of pickguard, or what kind of glue.   How about some helpful info here...

If it's a contact adhesive then try xylene (Goof Off). If it's a white glue, then get De Glue Goo. You could also try mineral spirits.

None of the above hurt nitro lacquer in short exposures...15 minutes or so.

First try mineral spirits, and if that doesn't get it, go for the xylene.   Either way, do it in a well ventilated space.   Use and old clean T-shirt and wear rubber gloves.

naptha/lighter fluid works well for these applications too...
