Hi all! Does any body know what to use to remove the l glue left behind after removing a pick gaurd? I'm trying not to destroy my lac. top. I had a brain fart while installing it(hate it when that happens) Thanks |

You didn't say what kind of guitar, what kind of pickguard, or what kind of glue. How about some helpful info here... If it's a contact adhesive then try xylene (Goof Off). If it's a white glue, then get De Glue Goo. You could also try mineral spirits. None of the above hurt nitro lacquer in short exposures...15 minutes or so. |

First try mineral spirits, and if that doesn't get it, go for the xylene. Either way, do it in a well ventilated space. Use and old clean T-shirt and wear rubber gloves. |

naptha/lighter fluid works well for these applications too... |
