I really don't know the exact figure. because the fist year that I built I did not keep a serial number record on non-commissioned or reject guitars, but with in one or two I am at 28 after four years. The serial number going on the current OM on the bench will be 2005-0025

Right at 200 acoustics. I have made a few electrics and carved tops and
the total is 228 so the 200 is a good estimate of flat top instruments
only.

89 counting all guitars, flat, arch and Classical. Can I count in the 25 fiddles, 40 harps, 40 hammered dulcimers, 150 mountain dulcimers and 20 or 30 other things?

Jigs are all I have completed this winter . It has been a very wet winter and I live in an area that humidity control is not normally an issue. This year has been an unusual. The OM I have on the bench was started in November and has gone almost nowhere. But a lot of prep work is complete and waiting on assembly. Now if the weather will just be constant for three or four weeks in a row .MichaelP38425.6917824074

Alan, you are the only person I know to have made the Hammered Dulcimer. There is a gal in Asheville, North Carolina, her name is Carol. She can tear that instrument up, never will forget the times I heard her play hers. Thanks for bringing up the name of the instrument, made my day and makes me want to dance a jig.

I think I have numbers 12-15 on the bench right now. It's heartening to hear how many some of you guys have built. Makes me think that after I get another 10 or 20 under my belt mine will start to look as good as some of yours.
