The only thing better than receiving a package from Uncle Bob, is picking it up in person. What a great day, getting together with Bob & Rosie and JJ. The excuse .....choosing some nice Cocobolo out of the Zoot Cave! Real reason, hangin out with with some great people.



JJ, lending a hand and excellent critical eye. Man it was tough work picking out the "set" from 40 superbly cut sets.


This just might be the set.

A little post dinner fun. Here's Bob playing some great Delta blues on one of JJ's guitars.

A nice little solvent for disolving shellac flakes.

Hey boys...AZ got the pick of the litter for sure. He ferretted that set out of the corner like a blood hound.

We had a wonderful visit in Zoot city and as always had side splitting laughs until the wee hours of the morning. Bob even slept in until 7:00.

I am sure that Bob's zoot cave is an indication of the quality of zoot one will have in Heaven, if God has such a need for guitar builders up there....
