Cool. Very useful. I'll try to make one from hardwood and a steel pin. |

Yeah, I wonder what shipping would be to Romania for that 89 cent item? |

That is an ingenious little tool isn't it! Thanks for the tip. Waddy/Alex- Bad news on shipping... FedEx anyway. To Constanta: To Bucharest: Or you could throw it in a 6-10 day envelope via the good ol' USPS for about $11. Probably the more economical choice eh? |

For crying out loud.... Thats the price for a nice Shane's Lutz PLUS a decent EIR set. Last time I received something with Fedex from the US was about 3-4 years ago and it was smth like 45$. I guess that in the mean while the Atlantic doubled its width |

Im lazy, I stick a mark at halfway and then run a tightly gripped pencil along the brace. As long as I havent had a few glasses of red wine before hand the line is centred enough for my purposes (shaping braces). |

Off-topic (a bit) A similar tool with two points (and a bit larger) is used when '8-siding' square stock for boat spars. |

You can make one with a drill press. Drill a pencil hole, put the pencil in (or whatever marking item you use) Then drill a hole that it will go into in another piece of wood, so that it rotates around the pencil or what you use. Then rotate the wood under the drill press bit to drill dowl holes. It will be perfectly centered. |
