Finally closed the box on my first instrument. I am relieved that I am on the homeward run after 5 months . I didn't realize the amount of work involved. I am deeply appreciative of all the  help and advice provided by the members of this forum  .I have attached a couple of progress pics. The back and sides are Queensland maple . top is Adirondack . Neck will be Queensland Maple, fingerboard and bridge will be Indian rosewood.

Regards

Craig.

Thanks folks for your kind words. I am quite pleased overall with the progress I have made to date. There has been some blood sweat and tears involved particularly with the sides and came close to giving it away at that point. Glad i didn't. I have made lots of error's but managed somehow to cover most of them . I'm busting to get those strings on and strum the first chord. Then No 2

On Ya Craig

You're going like a champion. Nice neat work . To play a guitar you built yourself is a real blast . Well done mate .

Congratulations! I still get buzzed when I close up the box. It's the crossing of a major hurdle.

Thanks Craig and Howard. It really is a relief to have the body complete. I'm driving my wife crazy tapping the top and back and the occasional humming into the soundhole. I really have no idea what it should sound like but hey it's the next best thing to having the strings on.

Regards

Craig.
