Hi Bruce,

I just want you to know that the OLF guitar
will ship on Monday! I have had a very full July and
August. Two uke shows with 4 builder I do for and the
Healdsburg show that I did 25 to 30 finishes for this
year "A good but crazy month". I want you to know
that I am sorry about this finish taking so long. But
it is done now and I would be happy to do any stuff
with you guys in the future, and do it fast!!! I hope
to meet you and more of the guys from the OLF in the
future sometime.

Well now that I'm done dancing around the living room. I wanted to share this morning's email with all of you guys so you could celebrate with me and Addam.

Addam took on the job of finish on the OLF FOLK guitar project. This guitar has been in the hands of many of the OLF's best luthiers, each contributing a small part to the overall project and sending it on.

To say setbacks was the Norm is an understatement. Even Addam after doing one of his gorgeous sunburst finishes, saw it really didn't mesh with the rosette treatment of the guitar. So it was stripped bare and started over on a new finish.

That blows my mind, so this guitar became a remodel project which as everyone knows is harder to do than a new guitar anyday. At least three or four times the work of doing a single straight finish. Addam, thanks for seeing it through.

I hope you snap a picture or two before sending it off to Tim McKnight for final setup. We wanna see.

And to all the rest of you who donated materials, time and effort, or just helping organize the effort, hat's off to each of you too.

Lance, this one's for you bud. We hope FedEx is kind!

Way to go Bruce for being the behind the scenes manager of this project. I am excited that it is nearing completion. I am a bit less stressed now that HB is over but I still have to keep my nose to the grindstone. I still have to build guitars for two more shows this year, arrrgh!

I will let you know when it arrives here. Thaks again to you and to EVERYONE who has participated in one way or another!

I saw some pictures of Addam once. I usually snag pics off the net to use later or just to look at for fun. Since Addam hasn't sent any jpegs well, here are some guitiar bodies on his finishing tree. I have no clue whose they are either.

Maybe when this guitar arrives at Lance's door he can have Theresa pinch him to make sure he's not dreaming. Again, today is Addam's day in the spotlight. Tim, if Addam doesn't send pics, maybe you can take a couple? Huh would you please? TIA.
