I've just listed a bunch of wood on my site for Phase One of the First Annual GOOB Sale '07 (TM).

There's some nice figured African Mahogany on there along with a few pieces from my personal wood stash.
I will also be listing a ton of other stuff in the next week or so, including that Raindrop Quilt Cocobolo, Honduran Rosewood, a bunch of quilt Sapele, and a host of other stuff.

I'm offering free shipping (U.S. Domestic only) for orders over $250.

Thanks for looking,

Don

Sorry Hesh!

So then, here's a warning:

I'm currently labeling roughly 22 sets of quilted sapele (no, not the killer stuff I just showed folks).

I will be pricing a bunch of this to sell quickly.

There will be some very nice OM sized sets in with these.

Hang on to your hat........

Nice wood Don.   If only you hadn't scheduled your sale to coincide with property taxes and SWMBO's birthday. .

Sam, just tell him you must have been sleep walking.

The boss is happy....I just told her that its better that I go a little bit crazy during Phase I rather than wait till Phase II and go totally crazy.

Don - Tell us about Movingui. Looks like a fancy flamenco to me!

Hi Jim,

Nigerian or African Satinwood is the more common name. It's pale yellow.

It's got nice tap tone, similar to Indian Rosewood. It's a bit of a waxy wood, and the sawdust is the color of mustard. It's a tad difficult to cut due to it's hardness, and I would expect that you should use SuperSoft to bend the sides since they are highly figured. In fact, I've never seen it without a large degree of curl.

Since you bring it up, and being that only three sets remain on the website, and with only two more waiting in the wings, I'll knock $15 off the price of any of the remaining sets of "Movingui" for anyone who buys them tonight, Tuesday 9/4/07. Food for thought!

Don
