Im currently looking for ivoroid to come on my 00-28,(which I already bound in ebony, but have decided to make more oldschool)... Problem is that shipping to europe is really tricky... So, do any of my fellow european forumites now of any source? Looking for buttwedges and heelcaps too. Thanks! |

I found some of that stuff from www.goeldo.de. They shipped it to me with no problems. Try to ask them. Unfortunately I don't think they carry it for buttwedges or heelcaps. You have to be a professional to buy from them because they don't do retail. |

Lars, Ivoroid is very difficult to get as I have found out here in Canada. I've been trying to find a source but due to celluloid nitrate being a restricted product it's very tough to get it shipped. LMI has 2"x7" pieces but can only ship in the US and even with that there is a$20 Haz Mat fee attached to the delivery. It may be more advantageous to go with a natural substance like curly maple or something of that sort?? Sorry I could not be of more help but ivoroid is a bit of tough one to get your hands on outside the US!
Good luck. |

Hi Lars, did you try Axiom inc? I think Martin still sells it too. Mario has listed several sources for Ivoroid in Canada before, I'm pretty sure you can still get it there. Perhaps some of them will ship to Sweden too if none of the US suppliers will. |

Hey guys, The Canadian sources that Mario very graciously listed on one of my previous posts all turned up empty. Each of them referred me to LMI or Stew Mac, however, the shipping issues made it tough. Martin does indeed sell a small ivoroid heel cap and end graft from the Guitar Makers Connection but they are one size only and you can see them on the Martin website. |

Thanks friends, I'll check those sources. It seems to me that sheets for wedges and heel caps are the hardest to get... well, I'll let you know how it goes!! |
