I haven't posted any of my work in a while so here is one I finished a few days ago. It is number 17. I'm liking it a lot so far. The pics really don't do it justice.

German Spruce top
Rosewood back & sides
Curly Koa bindings
Ebony bridge & fingerboard
Paua Abalone purfling
Bone nut, saddle, and bridge pins
Nitro lacquer finish

Thanks for looking!

Yep, that is one of the best shaped cutaways I have seen. Lovely all round.

Lovely guitar Colby. Got to love Euro spruce and with Rosewood that's a classic combination. Your workmanship is fabulous and curly koa is my all time favourite binding wood.

What scale length is it? Is it for you or a customer? Whichever one is a lucky person. You should feel proud.

I have a particular affinity to that guitar as well...

Very immaculately appointed - not too much but enough to show incredibly well.

beautiful craftsmanship Colby!   I hope it sounds as good as it looks, but I have no doubts that it will. I love the purflings too. really sets the whole thing off nicely.

Thanks for all the nice comments guys! I really appreciate it.

Waddy, it sounds really good. It is sounding better and better each time it's picked up.

Hesh, the rosewood is just a wild figured east indian rosewood. I got it from a dealer I used to work with.

Dave, it's a 25.5 scale length. It is also for a customer.

Thanks again for all the nice comments!

Colby - what a great job - I love the grain of the EIRW.  Is #18 the myrtle you posted pics of from LMI?

I'm no Miss Cleo, but I predict a happy customer!

Laurie, actually #18 is something else I'm getting in the works. # 19 is the redwood/myrtle.

Todd, thats the thing I don't like about florentines. This was the second florentine cutaway I've done, but the first one that I did this kind of binding job on.
