I recently had reason to acquire a Hot Rails p/u for an electric I was building. The p/u is basically a humbucker that is made in the size of a normal strat single coil size. I really like these p/u's and had used them for years now...well all good things eventually come to an end...I ordered one from MF they sent me the current model which is a pickguard mount only (with fine threaded machine screws) p/u. I sent it back " you made a mistake...I want the one like in the picture...screws into the body with wood screws and springs. So just to make sure I didn't get another "wrong" p/u I ordered from another supplier...Same thing the p/u arrives says "for strat" on it...same exact wrong p/u. So I call Seymour...yup they no longer make the "old" kind that are used without pickguards and screw into the cavity...only the pickguard mounted type. So what to do? Well they offered to sell me a dozen of the discontinued model that they had left. Just can't get them in the store any more. So I bought a Dozen (12)... If anyone wants to buy one please PM me...please...
