I rarely post pictures of my projects, but I thought I would post a couple pics of some inlay I have been working on. This is going on a guitar for my mother. The design has been a bit tuff for me (floral theme). I am not really an inlay guy. I haven't really done much inlay at all in years, but it has been fun getting back into it a little more. This is the rosette area. I had to try a couple times before I got the look I was after on the heastock inlay. The rose on the top is the one I will be using. Thanks to Chris V. for helping me along the way with advise and tips . Peace,Rich |

Yes , That spruce likes to really get furry if you as you route. I wound up cutting the pattern with a razor knife and using a chisel to pop about 1/8" back to the pattern line. I was really wishing I was placing it in ebony after I was into it a bit. |

That sure is pretty! I love the piece of white MOP that shows the folds in her dress...just gorgeous. From where I sit the inlay looks flawless. I like your choice for the headstock rose as well. |

That is wonderful inlay Rich, very tasteful. I especially like the way the soundhole conforms to the countours of the inlay. Very artistic. Your mother will be thrilled, I'm sure. |
