Craig, That looks great. That myrtle back looks fabulously three dimensional and tactile!! Very elegant design all round. What's the finish and what's that on the side upper bout - is it a sound port? I see you went with the twin strings per bridge pin in the end. Did it work out OK? Sound clips please!! |

Craig that is very nice, the Myrtle has the bling so the rest of the guitar counterpoints it very well. I see you went with the AX bracing, popular here for 12 strings so should work really well. I particularly like the classical style rosette in the muted colours, it really works doesn't it. The matchng purfling on the bridge is a nice touch. Great stuff, and yes sounclip please. Colin |

Cheers Bob , Hesh and Dave. Must make a special mention and thanks to Dave and Howard Klepper for advising me on the shared pin bridge design . Dave the finish is the Australian product , U-Beaut Hard shellac . Fantastic stuff ! That's the stopper for the ashtray , errr, I mean soundport. It gives me the option of having it open or not. Yes the shared pin bridge worked out just fine . Less weight and no cramped pins and strings getting in the way . It also allows more freedom with string spacing. |

Thanks for the soundboard shot, Craig... A 12 is definitely on my "to build" short list. I'm not adverse to "borrowing" good ideas when I run accross them. I too am interested in the twin string/bridge pin approach... give us some details please. A sound clip would be great when you've finished tweaking the intonation. Again, VERY nice. |

Thanks Colin . The colours in the rosette perfectly match the Englemann colour and also the maple purfling around the body . I inlayed the bridge to match the ivory around the fretboard . When finished ,the ivory looked too white and stood out from all the other cream tonings. I stained the ivory lightly with a tiny brush and coffee ! A trick I learnt from one of Grunes' repairmen |

I noticed a tiny pin near the heel block on your mold. It that used to help line up your plates? And yeah, the details really make this one stand out. I love it when a craftsman puts in details that only he will ever know are there. Rarely do you see it today. |
