I'm working on a Martin D35, replacing a bridge. While I was working on it I was checking the neck, and I'm not sure if it's worn or a compound radius. It seems to start out at 16' and actually is flat by the time it reaches the body. Does anyone know what Martin's D35 fret bd radius is from the factory? Do they use a compound radius? Thanks in advance.

I just went and looked at mine, and it appears to be amost flat on the bridge end as well. There is some radius there, but it is slight. If I had a good set of radius guages, I'd measure it for you.

I had never really paid attention to this before...

older martins had a compound radius, usually about 16" at the nut flattening to about 20" at the bridge end.

newer versions are a uniform 16".
