Gosh doggie! I cant wait to make saw dust now!
For what its worth, I ran across this at Lowes today , 137.00 out the door - I've been wanting - needing one of these for a while, and I dont think i could have made a decent one much cheaper-

Hey Lance! I just got one of those myself. Like you I didn't think I could make one as nice as that for the money. I've been able to use mine quite a bit lately and it works great! let me know what you think of yours

It's made of a high impact plastic body with I believe a metal top with a rubberized coating to protect your project and keep it from slipping. It's "very" sturdy you could probably sit on it, but I wouldn't recommend that while the dust collectors on.

So does it have it's own vacuum motor thingy, or do you hook it up to your existing dust extraction system? Pity that Delta tools are so expensive over here

I made one several moons ago using 1/4" pegboard for the top. The sides were 1" x 4" and a piece of paneling for the back. An internal cross for top support with cutouts for air flow. Epoxy a 4" coffee can for a coupling to your exhaust system and you're in business. However, with all of that said I find myself using my RO sander with a 1.25" hose connected to my shopvac more than the sanding table. |

I have a grizzly got off ebay. It is the exact same thing except with different logo's as delta. I compared them side by side. 4" dust port hooked to dust collection. works well. Of course more suction the better |

Long story, but I ended up with both a Delta *and* a ShopFox (Grizzly, 20x40") downdraft table. I planned to return the Grizzly, but after factoring in the shipping and restocking costs - I'd rather sell it with a nice discount. Brand new, in original box. As mentioned before, the Grizzly and Delta are practically twins. The same size, same rubberized top, same type of baffle system and identical performance - which is quite good with a decent dust collector. If anyone is please interested drop me an email.
