I've got an upcoming build and my customer and I recently changed his spec to stripey Macassar. All the suppliers I'm aware of are backordered. Does anyone with a super set of stripey Macassar (16" guitar) want to be my hero? In case there might be something serendipitous in my stash, I would be ready to trade away something as well. Matt - BobC has one set on site website (16 1/2"). For any of my wood inquiries, he usually has other sets available too. I'd be surprised if he doesn't have several for you to pick from!

Matt, I just spoke with Marc at Gilmer wood. He had one set left he was going to use for himself but changed his mind. I was going to buy it but decided against it. So he had a set as of Thursday. Try calling him and I'm pretty sure he still has it. |
