I have someone asking me to make a guitar with a neck profile like Martin's - HD-28VS and/or a 000-28VS.
I don't really know what that means.
Can anyone help me out?
It will be a 1 3/4" nut width.
Thanks!

Steve,

Tracey @

has profile templates for all kinds of necks, have a look at his site for more detail.

Cheers

If you have the instrument you can also make your own template.

Thanks for all the help. I think I have a handle on it.
I'll make the neck about .050" thicker, make it round and sand in the "V" shape (flats) afterward.
Does that sound like a good approach?

Thanks Kim. I'll keep that in mind.
Those do look like a good deal.
Too bad it won't help with this one -
1 13/16 nut, 2.25 bridge, 27.5 scale length.
