I'm working on a simple flower inlay and need some ideas on what to use for the stems. They need to be 1/32" to 1/16" wide, not prominent, <6" total. I'd like them to be less bright than the gold MOP I'm using for the flower petals. I'm thinking silver wire or aluminum or other metal filings in epoxy. Any other ideas? I'm also thinking about long-term brightness, but prefer not to have to resort to gold. Am I on the right track? Ideas much appreciated. |

Bronze (not Gold) MOP DePaule can get it for you It makes great stems. More brown in color and not as bright as Gold MOP but still has the iridescents It is what I use on my Yellow rose of Texas inlay. You can see an example at Andy's sight under vines. |
