Yesterday the troops gathered to move my stationary tools from the basement shop. I really dreaded moving the Laguna and my Ryobi planer/jointer combo machine. Well you hire young strong lads with the desire to help this old man it's easier done than said.
Here's afew pic's:

My grandson Bobby in back and his cousin Dominic in front.

Getting the dust collectors ready.

The journey up the steps.

Machines waiting to be loaded into the truck.

Son Bob & Grandson Bobby unloading the pallet jack.

Tools in the new shop. Wiring is next.

Wow Bob that must have been a very big, and stressful day.

It looks like it all worked out very well though and the new digs/Zoot cave looks great.

Congrats my friend on your new zoot cave!

I'm stunned to see all that artillery out of the basement. Looks like a great move Bob.

Congratulations and thanks to the strong backs. Looks like Bobby III is doing a great job as foremen!

It also looks like I left Buffalo just in time!

Moma that had to be back breaking work hauling that stuff out of the basement. Having just been at yours I can well visualize where you have positioned your stationary tools. Glad you got some young strong backs to help you!!

Hey I see you got the woodburning fire place installed.

I spy with my blury eyes what looks like some cocobolo

Compared to your old place, this new base is really nice, Bob, I'm sure it'll be worth it!!

I wonder whether it would have been worth your while hiring a forklift- those machine's aren't the easiest to move in the world!

I REALLY like the freestanding woodburner in the corner- if ever I acquire a bigger workshop, it will have one.

Looks great Bob! You have to be very excited to get working in the new shop. Be careful and don't hurt yourself in all the excitement. I recently made that mistake myself.

Oh no, Sam, tell me apostrophe creep is not happening on your side of the pond too!

Bob,

There is no greater wisdom that comes with age than to know when to turn the young bucks loose on your heavy projects. I'll bet you're going to love all that space!

Bob, I remember when you put the Laguna in your basement. I'm so glad you brought in troops to help. I hope the rest of the transition goes just as smoothly?

Is Rosie beginning to reclaim the space? I'm sure she's glad that she doesn't have to stand ready with a vacuum cleaner for every time you come through the house, but I bet she'll miss having you under foot. How far is the shop from the house?

Wow, Bob, I remember toting my stuff down to my shop, in pieces.

Yanking the massive table top off the laguna took one bolt or so. The motor came off with four bolts and a bit of wiring. I can't remember taking off any wheels, but may have. These are the kinds of things you try to forget when they are over.

Congratulations on your move. May the God of all Zoot smile upon your efforts. What a great bunch of hunks to help you. Thanks for the great pics. Zoot on!

You had all that in your basement!?  Marry your wife over, several times.  Mine would have NEVER stood for that.

And, guys, that white stuff is just water.  I've got plenty here, too.

I would like to have the basement you're moving out of.  The new place looks really great.  What wonderful space.  I'm not supposed to covet, but I do!

Yes it's hard to believe all that was in the basement. Well all except the small Craftsman Band saw and the Grizzly wide belt sander which were in my garage. That room in the pic's is obviously the workshop. The nect room adjacent to that is also approx 28" x 30' and will house the sets and and packaging/shipping dept. Then there is also the receiving area and office area. All in all a nice sized building.

Bob, the place is really started to shape up. You and the boys have done a lot of work. That nursery wagon is a great idea. I used a wooden version of that until Ryan was big enough to help move stuff. Even then I still used it. It will save your back.

Bob,
What are you going to do with all that space? I'm sure you'll have it full of
tools and wood eventually and will be wishing you had a little more space
again.

Congratulations on the move. It looked like an exciting day and I'm glad to
see you had plenty of help.

Enjoy the new shop,

Nice digs Bob!! Lots of room to fill up with MORE ZOOT!!!!

Suggestion: A small shelf on the wall over the wood burner for a small electric fan, makes a world of difference!

Billy I may do that. The stove is also designed to mount a blower motor if I can find one that fits.
