I just wanted to say thanks for all the support that many of you made to the students of my high school program. Some of the materials are beginning to arrive and I'm labeling and shelving them. Rest assured, they will go to the best use possible--the gift of a youngster learning to build and play--it doesn't get any better than that. When we get organized and begin to build, I will be sure to take pics and keep you folks updated. Thanks to Dave, I have some unique traing aids (braced labeled tops) I will begin with classroom time, long before they begin to build. They will have a thorough understanding of bracing and how it effects tone long before they start cutting wood. I'm very excited about this program and hope to continue it next year and beyond. Thanks again and stay tuned!

Thank you too Scott. First, for working with these young people.

Secondly, for the gift you once gave me. My son pointed at both the nut and saddle on his new SJ tonight and said, "Giraffe Bone", to his wife.

Yep, from the two pieces you sent quite some time ago.

Scott I should be able to get the top out to you tomorrow.  Yesterday during a pilgrimage to the Borg to pick up a spindle sander I picked up some pressed board to protect the top in for shipping.

Like Bruce said, “Thank You Scott”

I’m thrilled I can help, by donating a few guitar parts. However, in comparison to your donation
of time and knowledge. Well, you really deserve a lot of credit! Moreover, these young people
will benefit from this experience, not only due to the very nature of the project, but, also because
they have the good fortune to have an instructor, with a genuine passion for the craft.

I get the feeling, that you are going to have a lot of fun with this!

Very much looking forward to seeing progress pics too!

“If you plan for one year, plant rice. If you plan for ten years, plant trees. If you plan for 100
years, educate people”
