It is a cool site.  A few weeks ago someone asked about a Resaw and there is one on this site that is very similar to the one that Rick Turner uses

http://www.irsauctions.com/popups/bidders_paddle.asp?lot=814 46&auction=1396VCF5MB1UB7P4TPB6AS35RHW884&id=10745

These auctions tend to be almost exclusively large equipment from liquidations of factories for either equipment that is being taken out of service from a default on a lease or loan.  In thease of defaults they are usually bought by a machinery dealer that has worked in agreement with the leasing/lendor company.

There are at least two of those auction companies in my area that I check in
with now and then. I've actually gotten a few things like my cyclone dust
collector from those. Here in Michigan with a previously booming furniture
industry and a dismal current economy there seems to be at least two or
three major woodworking shops going up on the auction block each year.
I've passed up on at least one Timesaver and two nice Remco wide belt
sanders this year alone, simply because I don't have the immediate need to
justify how much shop space it would lake up. They've all gone for well
under market value, but I haven't been able to justify picking one up yet.
