Well, that didn't work too well. Oh well, here goes. I was able to make some progress this past weekend on my build. If you are tired of all this stuff, just say so and I'll post when I'm done.
I try to keep myself going on different levels, so things will come together for assembly at the same time. Some tasks are much more time consuming than I think they will be when I start. I had worked my sides down some in another session, so I got them down to proper thickness during last week.

Another thing that had been holding me up was finishing up my "Spring Loaded Go-Bars". I made 9 more this weekend. I now have 28, I think enough for now. I can always make more. I also made a scabbard of sorts to keep them in. Coffee Cans with HVAC Aluminum Tape. The small coffee can holds the spacers that are used when bluing at the Solera surface. They are removed when gluing on the back.

operation. All 1/2" dowels are not created equally. I first drive
them through a 1/2" hole, then through a 15/32 hole so they will slide
easily in the CPVC, but not wedge into the spring.
the next thing on my agenda was to finish thinning the edges of my top to the proper thickness, and taper to 2.5mm in the center of the lower bout. Using a slightly curved scraper and a couple of pairs of calipers set to 1.9mm and 2.2mm, I scraped and tested until I had a fairly even taper from 1.9 at the edge for about 20mm or so tapering up to 2.2 in another 10 to 15mm then to 2.5mm. I think I have it now.
Next, I had to make sure my bracing patterns were correctly drawn on my plantilla half. Next, I drilled holes at the center points at the end of each fan brace and top brace.
Next I transferred the layout to the back of the top.

Next, I sized all the fan braces, upper bout braces and closing braces, and laid them out on the top to see how stuff will go together. I still have to do the rough shaping of the Top Braces that have the cut-outs in them for the upper bout braces.
