All, I finally got around to getting my web page up. You can check it out at Rectorguitars.com. I'd like to get as many opinions as there are members here. So feel free to have alook and let me know what you think. All I have to work out now is how to get it propagated down to all the search engins out there. My web guy says he has done some of that, but I can't seem to get it to show up, at lease in google, yahoo or alta vista. Anyway, thanks for looking and I appreciate any and all feedback. |

Thanks for the feedback Josh! BTW, I didn't take any of the pics. It was part of the deal I mentioned in an earlier thread, where I traded a guitar for the website setup. And that included him doing all the photos as well. |

Dave, Great looking site the graphics are good without slowing down the site - nice. From my point of view though I'm always suspicious of sites that don't show an indication of prices. I like to see the guide price for a base model guitar, you know the sort of thing, Mahogany/EIR - Sitka/WRC, plus case. Base model guitars for UK builders go from about $3500 to $8000 that's quite a difference and before I make enquiries I'd want to now a ball park figure. Just a thought. Colin |

Thanks Colin. Yes, I plan to do a price page that outlines most of that stuff. Everything is still in the works at this point. I'm the same way, if I don't see pricing I'll just keep on moving. I'll give you this much of a clue though, the prices won't be anywhere near $8000.

Good site Dave!! I think your designer did a nice job. I especially like the graphic treatment of your name on the home page. And thanks for the mentions. :-) I did notice one small thing. "Adirondack" is spelled "Adirondac" on the home page. |

Dave, very professional, well done. How about a shot of a headstock? Such an identifying mark the headstock pics. Which reminds me, I need to work on my website........ I especially like your bridge. To me, when a maker does his own bridge they are on their way to becoming a full blown "master" luthier. I have some prototypes started, but need to do that myself. Congrats on the very professional-looking site. |

Looks good, Dave. I like the slide shows and how you can click the pics and get a new pic without opening a new window. Very fast to navigate. I noticed one typo: On the links page in your paragraph about the MIMF it reads "bu Deb..." and shoud be "by Deb..." Also, I agree on the price thing - if I don't see a price, I move on. Nice work. Dave, Great looking site. I think more up close guitar photos would be a good thing, and maybe more of your shop and the machines/jigs you have. I like you bio, it is nice to know something about the person who is going to build the guitar. All in all, a great site, easy to navigate, and loads quick. Jeff |

Thanks Jeff! Yeah, the close-up photos are definately something I want to do at some point. What you see now is only a first attempt at getting everything together. That's why I asked for input here. The feedback I get here is always good and supportive. |

Does anyone know any trick to getting google, yahoo or any other search engines to pick up a new web page? I've tried searching on everything I have in the page and can't seem to get a hit on google or yahoo. The web page will be kinda useless if no one can find it. |
