Wade,

I can't get that address to work, MIMF says that .ee878 5d/0 doesn't exist. Can you post a hot link to it please?

Go to the general acoustic/flat top section and look down a few posts 'till you see one about Kasha inspired bracing. It'll make you think. Be sure to read all the posts as there are some pretty insightful comments.

If that's the thread I'm thinking it is, you might want to check the end of the thread first.

It was an April fools joke.

What's so foolish about listening to what your wood tells you? We've got an Heir to the Throne that talks to his plants! You all talk to your wood, right?

like when the side is in the bender, "if you dare spring back on me i'll put you right back in there and turn the heat up higher and longer, so behave yourself. and while we're on the subject of your behavior, no cracking, or waving, or twisting is permitted either!"

after all, we must offer tough love to our children...

warning: monarchists, or the fans of royalty should skip this!

colin

does the reality of a hairbrain to the throne ever make you dream of a republic?

i know that during my years in austalia the topic was often brought to the fore in relation to some of his antics.

but he is about to make an honest woman of camilla! finally! if it's possible?

You don't want to get me started on the monarchy!

I've been a republican since I was just out of nappies.

No problem talking to wood. The situation worsens when the wood talks back
Heir to the throne. I don't know why teh U.K. is described as a Monarchy. The only decision the monarch is allowed is what color to paint the bedroom walls. More serious is observing Tony sitting in the Shrubs lap, arms around his neck crying Daddy, Daddy.

whist there are those who might agree with you, there still exist what are referred to as reserve powers which can be exercised by the monarch. there is a former prime minister of australia who discovered this to his shock, horror and dismay when he was sacked by the crown in the person of the queen's governor general. created a fair bit of grist for the mill of constitutional law scholars, not to mention the chattering classes.
